💼 Role Overview:
As a Team Lead – Business Development, you’ll lead a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to drive top-of-funnel sales activities like outreach, qualification, and pipeline generation. You’ll act as a coach and strategist while aligning with marketing and sales leaders to boost conversions and team performance.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
👥 1. Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Sales Development team.
- Build a high-performing BDR team through hiring, training, and mentoring.
- Create development plans for BDRs to support their career growth.
🛠️ 2. Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
- Monitor KPIs (calls, emails, meetings booked, conversions).
- Ensure consistent achievement of qualified pipeline targets.
- Use data and dashboards to identify bottlenecks and improve performance.
📈 3. Strategy & Process Improvement
- Evaluate and streamline BDR processes to improve efficiency.
- Implement prospecting best practices.
- Collaborate with marketing for campaign optimization.
🤝 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Account Executives, Product, and Marketing teams.
- Ensure smooth lead handoff from BDRs to sales teams.
- Provide feedback to improve go-to-market strategies.
✅ Eligibility & Qualifications:
🧑🎓 Educational & Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of total experience in Sales Development (preferably SaaS or B2B).
- At least 2 years of managing BDR or SDR teams.
- Strong knowledge of the sales funnel, tools, and metrics.
💡 Skills Required:
- Strong communication & coaching skills.
- Proficiency in tools like Salesforce, Outreach/SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Strategic mindset with hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work with cross-functional remote teams.
- Passion for growth, performance, and tech-driven sales.
