💼 Role Overview:

As a Team Lead – Business Development, you’ll lead a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to drive top-of-funnel sales activities like outreach, qualification, and pipeline generation. You’ll act as a coach and strategist while aligning with marketing and sales leaders to boost conversions and team performance.


🔧 Key Responsibilities:

👥 1. Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Sales Development team.
  • Build a high-performing BDR team through hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Create development plans for BDRs to support their career growth.

🛠️ 2. Sales Operations & Pipeline Management

  • Monitor KPIs (calls, emails, meetings booked, conversions).
  • Ensure consistent achievement of qualified pipeline targets.
  • Use data and dashboards to identify bottlenecks and improve performance.

📈 3. Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and streamline BDR processes to improve efficiency.
  • Implement prospecting best practices.
  • Collaborate with marketing for campaign optimization.

🤝 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Account Executives, Product, and Marketing teams.
  • Ensure smooth lead handoff from BDRs to sales teams.
  • Provide feedback to improve go-to-market strategies.

Eligibility & Qualifications:

🧑‍🎓 Educational & Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of total experience in Sales Development (preferably SaaS or B2B).
  • At least 2 years of managing BDR or SDR teams.
  • Strong knowledge of the sales funnel, tools, and metrics.

💡 Skills Required:

  • Strong communication & coaching skills.
  • Proficiency in tools like Salesforce, Outreach/SalesLoft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional remote teams.
  • Passion for growth, performance, and tech-driven sales.
